Note: LessonSpace is linked to TutorCruncher. You must first add a lesson to a student's calendar in TutorCruncher to create their virtual "Space".
1. Add the Lesson to Your Calendar
To create a "Space" for your students, first add a lesson to your TutorCruncher calendar.
Option A: Through the Student's Profile
- Log in to TutorCruncher
- Click "My Students" in the left sidebar
- Click on the student whose schedule you want to update
- Click the blue "Add New Lesson" button
- Fill in the lesson details:
- Date and time
- Topic information (include the student's name)
- Click "Schedule Future Lesson" (or "Record Lesson" if in the past)
Option B: Through Your Calendar
- Log in to TutorCruncher
- Click "Calendar" in the left sidebar
- Click "+ Add New Lesson"
- Select the student from the dropdown menu
- Click "Create Lesson" and fill in the details
2. Access Your LessonSpace
Once a lesson is scheduled, you can access the virtual classroom.
Opening Your Space
- In TutorCruncher, go to "Calendar"
- Click on the scheduled lesson
- Look for the "Join LessonSpace" or "Open Space" button
- Your virtual classroom will open in a new tab
Tip: Test your audio and video before each session. Click the settings icon in LessonSpace to check your microphone and camera.
4. Prepare Your Space for Sessions
Set up your virtual classroom with materials before the session starts.

Share your screen to show documents, videos, or websites.
Document Upload
Upload PDFs and images to work through together.
Text Editor
Type notes and responses collaboratively with your student.
Before Your First Session
- Complete the LessonSpace Online Teaching Course
- Test your camera and microphone
- Upload any materials you'll need for the session
- Familiarize yourself with the whiteboard tools
- Practice screen sharing
